Wilmington Library to open on Sundays beginning Sept. 9

Beginning Sunday, Sept. 9, Wilmington Public Library will once again be open on Sundays during the school year.
Operating hours will be 1 to 5 p.m.
"Reinstating our hours was one of our operating levy promises," said Library Director Nancy Ehas.
"The community has been so supportive of the library. Fulfilling our levy promises is a priority of the board and staff."
Sunday afternoons will feature some special events. Second Sunday Serenades will feature local musicians from 2 to 4 p.m. On Sept. 9, musician and instructor Rob Stuckert will provide ambient music to enjoy while browsing or reading. The fourth Sunday of each month will be family game day with board games provided to play in the library.
Coffee will be available every Sunday. Donations will be accepted for the coffee fund.
"The staff welcomes the community back to the library on Sundays," said Ehas.
